A free Pentera Webinar titled "Planned Giving in This New World: A Discussion of Gift Vehicles Within the Context of COVID-19" will be presented May 21 by Stacy B. Sulman, J.D., vice president for personalized philanthropy and legal affairs for the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. The seminar is from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Time.
"To varying degrees, we will all have to figure out how to adapt styles, expectations, and gifts to the pandemic and post-pandemic world," Sulman says in describing the Webinar.
The session will look at the basic gift vehicles underlying planned giving - from estate gifts to charitable gift annuities - within the new context faced by both donors and organizations. The Webinar will also explore the benefits and challenges posed by these gift plans - both in the short term and, hopefully, in the long term after the pandemic.
Sulman has worked for the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute for more than 12 years. In that capacity she oversees planned giving, the organization's loyalty and legacy societies, bequest and gift annuity administration, and other areas. She teaches planned giving at New York University's Heyman School for Philanthropy and Fundraising and speaks on various aspects of planned giving to local, regional, and national groups. She serves as president of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York.
In support of the planned giving community, Pentera is offering a series of Webinars as a free service during this crisis. You can register for the Webinar here.
