Pentera CEO Claudine Donikian Launches Speaking Tour to Present Her Cutting-Edge Research on Donor Behavior

Pentera CEO Claudine Donikian has launched her annual speaking tour to present her new cutting-edge research findings that show what types of donor stories increase—and decrease—response rates, with her first two virtual presentations in New York City and Chicago. Claudine will also speak at other planned giving councils or annual conferences in Charlottesville, Connecticut, Philadelphia, and Arizona this winter and spring.

Claudine has presented brand new research on donor behavior to multiple national CGP conferences and to the AFP International Conference. She has presented more than 150 times at regional councils and conferences and is a frequent keynote speaker.

At most of the upcoming events Claudine will be presenting "Donor Stories in Planned Giving Marketing—To Use or Not to Use?" This Pentera study, directed by Claudine and presented by her at last year's CGP national conference in New Orleans, studied how effective donor stories are in planned giving eNewsletters and what drives that effectiveness, by analyzing click-through patterns and response rates of donors and donor prospects. The compelling findings show what types of donor stories increase response rates—and what types decrease response rates and should possibly be omitted. The donor story research is just one of several ground-breaking studies of actual donor behavior—rather than self-reported survey data—that Claudine has conducted or commissioned with academic researchers.

At the Arizona annual conference Claudine will be sharing her expertise regarding women donors, presenting "Women in Philanthropy: They Have the Wealth. Do You Have the Tools to Work with Them?" Claudine has long had a special interest in women's issues and served on the advisory council for the prestigious Women's Philanthropy Institute for seven years, working on the board alongside several researchers. She then used her professional expertise to analyze research on women in philanthropy and develop marketing strategies directly targeting women donors.
