Pentera President & CEO Claudine A. Donikian will present implications and recommendations from the Pentera-sponsored Planned Giving Study at the largest gathering of professional fundraisers in the world—the Association of Fundraising Professionals 55th International Fundraising Conference in April.
The AFP conference April 15-17 in New Orleans will be attended by more than 3,000 fundraisers, with about 90 educational sessions and 200 exhibitors. Ms. Donikian presents The Planned Giving Study: New Insights from Data on Planned Gifts at 4 p.m. April 15.
“The last time I presented the findings from The Planned Giving Study, a planned giving director approached me and shared that the research has been a real game changer—made a difference in the way she did her job and inspired creative approaches,” Ms. Donikian said. “I’m honored that the research has been so well-received by and helpful to the industry at large.”
Ms. Donikian has been touring the country for more than a year presenting the study results at dozens of planned giving conferences and council meetings. Her schedule this year currently includes Chicago, Boston, Orlando, Vermont, and Maine in addition to the AFP event.

Ms. Donikian both conceived and funded the research project, which was conducted by Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and published in the fall of 2016. Ms. Donikian’s presentation answers key planned giving questions including:
